The Quakes will be doing a Pub Crawl throughout the Greater Bay Area! This is a great chance to meet some of our Boys in Blue face to face and get some authographs. Upcomming locations and dates are as follows (also check the Quakes page for more info):

If you have not yet got your season tickets or joined the Casbah, we’ll for sure have Casbah folks at at the 2/26 event and 3/27 event with info on the Casbah. And if you’re not sure if you want to get a season pass, mini-packs (multiple game discounted tickets) are available now.

Hey all you Casbah!

If you’re thinking about making the trip down south to see our Boys in Blue take on the 11th place “super club” from smog city aka the Galaxy, you should get in contact with Pat Bernal of Club Quake. Pat has made arrangements to get discounted tickets for section 117 at the Home Depot Center. The game is on Thursday, April 3rd, at 7:30 PM, and will be televised on ESPN2 as the ESPN MLS Thursday Night Game of the Week season opener. If you get in contact with Pat before Feb 29th, the tickets are $30 each (a $20 discount over the standard price). After the 29th they will be $38 each, so don’t procrastinate. There is also a $1.50 handling charge. Check out the Club Quake site for more details.

This game will be broadcast on ESPN, so it will be a great opportunity to let those watching at home see how great the support is for the Quakes!

Hey All,

Thanks to those of you who were able to make it out to the game Wednesday night. If you couldn’t make it check out some of the pics of what you missed (click on pictures on the right). 

Looking forward to Saturday, the 1906-Ultras will be the host supporters group for that game.  This means they will be running the show relative to the supporters section.  We will be following their cheers and songs and supporting them.  They will be gathering before the game at Kezar’s pub across the street from the stadium.  Also, after the game there will be an informal celebration with some of the Quakes players at Kezar Pub.  Check their website for more info.  Also as a reminder, the 1906-Ultras are not as family friendly as the Casbah, so if you were thinking of bringing your little Casbah and standing in the supporters section I would advise against it.

Today is the day, we finally get to see our new San Jose Earthquakes take the field for the first time.  Today marks the end of our long wait to drum, sing and cheer so loud our Boys and Blue will be able to hear it across the field.  Are you ready to ROCK THE CASBAH!!!  Let’s make this a day to remember for all those in the stands and on the field. 

So, see you there drum in hand!

Hey all you Casbah!!!

The Casbah is getting together with Club Quake to do a tailgate before the exhibition game on the 13th at PAL Stadium.  This is a great opportunity for you get together with your fellow Casbah and celebrate the return of our beloved San Jose Earthquakes (Old and New).  And who knows who you’ll see there, old face, new faces, and may some which might have actually worn a Quakes uniform.  Be aware though that our celebrations will be somewhat limited in that No Alcohol is allowed at PAL, and this will be BYOB, bring your own burger.  So if your going to the game come on by.

I hope everyone is getting ready to support the Earthquakes in 2008!

While we wait for the regular season to start, and buy our season tickets, there are some pre-season games against other MLS teams you might want to check out. Some games are near, and some are far, but all should be worth attending.

1. vs HOUSTON, Feb 13, 6:30 PM at PAL Stadium in San Jose - The Casbah will be hosting a supporters section so come out and cheer for the team!
2. vs HOUSTON, Feb 16, 7:00 PM at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco - supporters section hosted by 1906/Ultras
3. vs Columbus, Feb 22 7:00 PM in San Luis Obispo (@ Cal Poly)
4. vs DC, Feb 24 1:00 PM in San Luis Obispo (@ Cal Poly)
5. vs Toronto, New York, and Charleston (USL1), March 15/19/22, in Charleston, South Carolina (Carolina Challenge Cup)

Become an official member of the Casbah.

Casbah Offical Membership Dues are $25 per person, annually.

Membership benefits include: the Casbah scarf, membership card, the Casbah announcement newsletter, discounts/specials at the Britannia Arms (TBD), and inclusion in all Casbah activities.

Membership dues will be collected at Quakes home games or Now through PayPal, just click on the Casbah Membership page link on the right.

Membership cards and scarfs will be available for pickup at the first home game at the Oakland Coliseum, 4/12. If you’re out of the area and need them mailed to you, your order can still be place on PayPal just follow the instructions on the link.

Not in the Casbah Section? Ask your ticket sales representative to place you in the Casbah Section, (Section 109 at BuckShaw). Or if you’re happy with your seats, you can still purchase a membership and receive the Casbah scarf and all other benefits.

Membership dues collected will be used to cover the costs of streamers, banners, flags, and other Casbah activities.

We have re-launched the Casbah site using WordPress software. This means it is easy for anyone to participate by writing articles. To take part just create an account (see the “META” section on the bottom right) and send email to webmaster@thecasbah.org to request an upgrade to “author” status.

Join the Earthquakes staff for an Expansion Draft party on Wednesday, November 21st at Britannia Arms in downtown San José from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. It’s the perfect time to get together on this exciting day with members from the San José Earthquakes, including Coach Frank Yallop and General Manager of Soccer Operations, John Doyle.

John and Frank will be discussing the newest members of the Earthquakes team. Don’t forget to bring your favorite Earthquakes t-shirt and wear your blue and black.

Admission to the party is free and Britannia Arms is open to all ages until 10:00 PM, so bring your kids and let’s cheer on the Earthquakes!

The Britannia Arms is located at 173 West Santa Clara Street between San Pedro St. and Almaden Ave.
