Heritage Cup Final 8/2

Sunday August 2nd, the Quakes will take on the Seattle Sounders in the final game of Heritage Cup Series.  The Heritage Cup (below) was created to celebrate the history the Seattle Sounders and the San Jose Earthquakes.  The only two teams in the MLS that have adopted the names of their original NASL clubs.  The cup is decided base on the total of goals scored during the 6/13 match and the 8/2 match between Seattle and San Jose.  (Seattle is currently leading 2 goals to 1.)  The trophy will be presented at the conclusion of the game by the supporters of one team to the other.

The weekend of August 2nd is also the 35 year reunion of the NASL Earthquakes.  To mark the occation the Casbah will be wearing the original Quakes red.  6a0105359b9aa8970c01156f55ba08970c-800wi
