In case you didn’t know already a new website has been launched which is covering the Quakes, Center Line Soccer. This site features blogs, interview, photos, videos, match reports and other really interesting stuff on the Quakes. Center Line Soccer is also the new location for Jay Hipps blog, of SSV. It also features a blog by Jeff Carlisle, whose writes for ESPN.com. So if you haven’t already check it out.

All offically register members receive the Casbah Scarf.
Casbah scarves have arrived and will be distributed at the home opener April 12th at the Oakland Coliseum, and this Saturday 4-6:30 PM at the Almaden Britania Arms. (5027 Almaden Expy, San Jose, CA) The Almaden Brit will also be playing the MLS Season Openning Game on FSC, Houston vs New England, which kicks off at 4:30 PM. So come on by, pick up your scarf and if you have the time stay for a beer and scout our competition.
Those of you haven’t yet signed up are more than welcome to come, sign up and pick up your scarf as well.

The Quakes have won the Carolina Cup with a strong finish against the New York Red Bulls and a final record of 3 wins, 0 losses. Congratulations Guys! We’re all looking forward to the start of a great season and making some noise that you’ll be able to hear across the fields at Buck Shaw and the Coliseum!
As also noted on the Soccer Silicon Valley Blog, the Carolina Cup games will be broadcast on the internet through the USLlive website. The game times are as follows:
Saturday March 15th Quakes vs. Toronto FC 3 PM PST
Quakes 1 TFC 0, Game was stopped due to lighting (Scored by Jason Hernandez off a cross by O’brien, that TFC failed to clear quickly; 22 min)
Wednesday March 19th Quakes vs. Battery (USL) 5:15 PM PST
Quakes 2 Battery 1 (Corrales 1 goal, 1 assist; Kamara goal 70th min)

I don’t know if you all have already seen the curefutbolitis commericals, but they are now being broadcast. One of them features our very own (semi-retired) Casbah Leader, Guy! I had seens these a while back, but still seeing Guy come to life on the tube while I was watching the sharks game yesterday brought a smile to my face.
